Paediatric Neurologist since 2005 at the Hospital Vall d’Hebron Barcelona, Spain.
She has also been Coordinator of the Metabolic Unit since 2012. In particular, she is responsible for the care of patients with neurometabolic disorders and especially those with lysosomal disorders.
She is coordinator of the Lysosomal group on the Spanish Metabolic Society and Co-coordinator in the Lysosomal subnetwork of the MetabERN as well as member of various guideline and treatment committees in Spain. She also participates and coordinates different Orphan Drugs and Pharmacotherapeutic Committees in Catalunya and is Medical Advisor for several patient’s associations.
Dr del Toro’s main research interest is LSD. She has published numerous articles as well as several book chapters and has presented her work at several international conferences. Additionally, she participates as an investigator in multicenter studies and clinical trials.
